Fall is in full swing, bringing with it a host of seasonal activities from family-friendly festivals to Oktoberfests and more. Southlake offers a number of autumnal activities for its residents to enjoy, while its proximity to nearby cities makes lots of local festivities available to the wider community. Here are a few fall favorites:
In what is perhaps one of the largest festivals in Southlake, over 100,000 guests are expected to head to Southlake for its 14th annual Oktoberfest. Guests gather on the Southlake Town Square for the free event that includes live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, and an abundance of food and drink. Complete with a wiener dog race, this family-friendly festival is an annual event that’s not to be missed.
The Bob Jones Park offers a festive weekend for campers to gather around the fire for marshmallow roasting and more after working up a healthy appetite on the trails. Guests are encouraged to bring their own gear for tents and fishing, while a Friday night dinner and Saturday morning breakfast is included.
Tired of seeing your beloved Jack-O-Lantern rot away by the end of the month? Opt for more lasting fall decor indoors. Vetro Glassblowing Studio and Art Gallery invites guests to help create their own unique, glass-blown pumpkins on select weekends all throughout October, so you can enjoy your keepsake year after year.
It’s harvest season, and Nash Fall Farm is celebrating with its 15th annual Farm Roundup. The event includes a number of down-home activities like cotton planting, as well as a petting zoo and a baking contest featuring all things pumpkin.
In addition to the many fall events that the community of Southlake has to offer, a number of seasonal events are held throughout the year. Residents of Carillon Southlake enjoy a true sense of community as neighbors and friends rally around exciting local happenings.
