Over the years Halloween activities have shifted from “trick or treating” to sponsored events where your children will be well-supervised. This year many events are planned in the Southlake area for the weekend before Halloween.
Great Pumpkin Competition
Southlake Public Library, Oct. 21-25, 2013
You might kick off the season by having your children carve or decorate a pumpkin to enter in the Great Pumpkin Competition sponsored by the Southlake Library. Pumpkins should be dropped off at the library between October 21st and October 25th for display and judging. Final judging will be on October 25, 2013, and a prize will be awarded for the best pumpkin.
Southlake Town Hall, Oct. 26, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Moms, dads and children of all ages can show off their costumes and participate in games, dancing and other activities at the Monster Mash. Snacks are available and a door prize will be awarded. Come dressed as a ghost, goblin, ghoul or perhaps your favorite superhero or celebrity.
